Our psychotherapeutic approach
What psychotherapeutic approaches are used?
At NomadBalance, we mainly use techniques based on Gestalt Therapy and Systemic Therapy due to their effectiveness in addressing present experiences and relational dynamics.
Below, we present the main characteristics of our therapeutic approaches to provide a clearer understanding of their application.
Gestalt therapy
We focus on the experience of the present moment.
Our objectives are based on recognising and connecting with emotions.
We address the significant role of personal responsibility.
Systemic Therapy
We understand personal issues within a system of relationships such as family, couple, and community.
We understand symptoms as adaptive responses within this system.
We seek changes in communication patterns and relational dynamics.
With these approaches, we address personal issues by tailoring a therapeutic plan that incorporates the principles of Gestalt and Systemic Therapy. However, we also integrate techniques from other schools of psychology as required by the psychotherapeutic process of those involved.
